History and Businesses

The original business set up in 1976 was called Technical Product Design Ltd., (TPD) and was involved, over a 18 year period, in many design and manufacturing projects.

One of the projects begun in 1994 was the design and manufacturing of a wireless security system called Tag Guard, this was developed into Tag Guard Ltd and is now a very successfull company manufacturing security equipment and providing high quaility services to many countries in Europe.

Dr Kitchins continued designs and enrepenurial skill has lifted the Tag Guard  (now Tag Security Holdings Ltd.) organisation to one of the top inovative security service and equipment supply companies in UK and Europe, havng offices in Holland Belgium and Germany, and partners in Scandanavia.

Another successfull develoments includes the electronics for the only air conditioning system designed for the Class 66 loco. This engine is use to haul the freight on the UK and Euorpean railway networks. The system is unique in that it fits into the same cab space as the old heater unit, but provided true airconditioning for the driver who has suffered untill now with a cab that behaves as a green house in the hot summer day and a fridge in the winter months.

In the last year Dr Kitchin has developed, with collegues, a new wireless broadband network in the Trent Valley and North Lincolnshire. Due to the total failure of the BT (latest name; Openreach) to provide broadband at the the service level they claim, i.e pay for 8M download but can only ever receive 1M download speed, a clear case of miss selling, a wireless braodband delivery service ws embarked upon.

Early days yet but the interest has been extensive, with people and businesses similarly exasperated by the incompatancy and inability of BT/ Openreach to provide any type of service for business use, appearing from far and wide.
